The 3 Best Ways to Grill Salmon

Salmon is really a delicacy when grilled properly, and one need to be particularly careful when grilling salmon as it is inclined to stick to the grill grate. However, there are ways of preventing this from happening. Here are the 3 best ways to grill salon:

• When grilling salmon you need to use indirect as well as direct heat. Do not cook directly on the grill rather grill the salmon on a perforated oiled foil. The best cuts of salmon to use are the middle cuts, as they have far less skin, and are less likely to stick.

• Once you have prepared the salmon cutlets, place then directly onto the perforated oiled foil. Add salt and lemon juice and then place them onto the grill. Use a spatula or flat egg lifter to turn the salmon cutlets. If you find the salmon is drying out, squeeze additional lemon juice onto the pieces. Grill for around 15 minutes on each side.

• For those that prefer crisp skinned grilled salmon, you can apply this method of grilling. Prepare your charcoal grill and let it burn till it's just covered with ash.

• Fold two medium pieces of heavy duty foil in half width wise to form a rectangle. Then take a skewer or small knife and make holes in the foil around 2 inches apart. Lightly grease the aluminum foil with olive or vegetable oil, and place directly over the heat for around 3 minutes.

• Take the prepared salmon pieces and place them directly onto the foil. Brush the salmon pieces with olive oils and sprinkle with sea salt. Make sure the skin is side down. Grill the salmon until the skin is sizzling and light brown. Grilling time is around 5 to 8 minutes.
